Back to Daycare

I wanted to post a blog tonight because I know Noah's Nana checks our blog every morning to check in on Noah:) I know that she is probably wondering how he is doing since his shots were giving him a hard time yesterday, so I wanted to let her know that he is doing good:) We sent him back to daycare today and he did great! His fever is gone and he is back to acting like his playful little energized self:) His nose is a little runny and he still has a little cough, but overall he is good. The Doctor said that all this is caused from allergies and teething, so we don't look for them to go away any time soon.

I hope you enjoy the pictures that I took of him tonight. It was just Noah & I tonight, because Curtis had Middle School Graduation that the band had to play at. We had a good night and played hard, but we also took time out to watch a Veggie Tales movie. This is what he was doing in some of the pictures I took.

I know that a lot of you are probably wondering why he is taking a bottle when I posted on Tuesday that I was going to start breaking him from it, aren't you? Well... I thought it would be better to make such a big transition over the weekend while he is at home instead of at daycare. I also had to go out and buy some more sippy cups for him, but we are good now:) I probably won't post another blog until Sunday night since the weekend is coming up. We hope everyone has a good Holiday Weekend.

Trip Down Memory Lane

I thought that I would take a moment just to take a trip down memory lane tonight. Everything has been happening so fast lately! I've been so busy with trying to make sure Noah had a wonderful 1st Birthday that I really hadn't had time to stop and think about how fast this past year has gone by. It's such a bitter sweet feeling that my sweet little baby that was born a year and 3 days ago is already 1 now! I remember when I took these pictures of him and all he would do is mainly sleep throughout the days. He was such a good baby and we have been very blessed!

I remember the first time I saw Noah, and I never knew that I could love someone as much as I loved him right away. A love for your child is truly an "unconditional" love. I pray that Noah will always feel very loved, blessed, and continue to be the happy baby he is today. I have loved every minute since this sweet baby was born into our crazy family, and I can't wait to see what he has in store for us in this next year of his life:)

Now for the update on Noah today. Noah woke up this morning not feeling well, so thankfully his mamaw came over and stayed home with him today. He had been running a fever of 100 throughout the night and some this morning due to the shots from yesterday. He slept most of the day today which helped him out a lot! By this evening he was feeling a lot better:) He is no longer running a fever, and he played most of the night before I put him down to sleep. We will be sending him back to daycare tomorrow since he is feeling better.

We hope everyone has enjoyed the pictures of Noah up to him turning 2 months old:) I also posted a picture of the lilies blooming that Curtis planted last summer! I know this has nothing to do with Noah, but I was so proud of Curtis for doing such a good job with making our yard look good every summer that I had to post them. Good job babe!! I'm glad someone in our family has a green thumb, because it sure isn't me:)

1 Year Checkup & Shots

Today was Noah's 1 year checkup and shots. I was very nervous all night about taking him today, because I knew it would be a painful visit for Noah. It turns out that he did very well just like he always does:) Hannah was right by his side all day, because she could sense that something had happened to him. She is such a sweet dog, and it's great that Noah loves her!

Dr. Lyons was very pleased with Noah at his checkup. He now weighs 24 lbs., 3 oz. , and he is 31 1/2 inches long!! She said that he was average in weight and he was very long for his age:) He is also doing everything he should be doing at 1 year old so she was very pleased with him.

We will be breaking Noah from using the bottle this weekend, and start to get him on whole milk. I wanted him to be at home during these transitions instead of at daycare, so that is why I chose to hold off until this weekend. I'm sure he will do fine, but it will be a change for us as well as him. Unfortunately, Curtis won't be able to help since he will be gone on more Army Duty.

The Doctor also told me that Noah is cutting all 4 of his Molars right now. Yes, you heard right, not just 1 but all 4! Now I understand why Noah has been a little fussy lately off and on. He still is a trooper and hasn't been as fussy as I would think a baby cutting 4 molars at the same time would be. Hopefully they will all be in soon so he can have some relief.

We hope everyone has a great Wednesday! We are just trying to make it through the week to get to the Big Holiday weekend:)

Noah's First Haircut

Yesterday Noah received his first haircut from his Nana:) She used to cut hair in a salon, so I thought while they were here visiting it would be the perfect time for him to experience another "first" in his life. I held off until his birthday, but unlike a lot of mommies, I was ready for him to get a haircut. I have to admit that it was a little sad after he got it cut, because he lost a lot of his baby look. Yes, I did save a lock of his hair to keep in his memory box. Haircut or not, he still is the most adorable 1 year old ever!! We know the video is very short, but the other one we took was too long to upload on the blog. Curtis just made this short one to post.

Tomorrow is his 1 year checkup and shots, which I'm not looking forward to. Just like any mommy, I don't like to see my baby in pain. I will do like I always do at these check ups and hold his little hands and try to calm him down as soon as it is over. Hopefully it won't be too bad and he will do OK. I will be staying home with Noah all day tomorrow because he normally likes to sleep more than usual after getting his shots. I will post a blog tomorrow to let everyone know how it goes.

We also hope you enjoy the pictures of Noah on his Pop's motorcycle that I promised I would post yesterday. The other picture is of his Nana and Pop as they were getting ready to drive off on their journey back to their home town. Noah sure did enjoy his visit with them! We will miss them and hope to see them again soon:)

Happy First Birthday Noah!!

Today is Noah's First Birthday!!! Happy birthday baby boy, and yes you will always be mommy's baby no matter how old you get! It has been a weekend packed full of "First's" for Noah and excitement.
Yesterday was Noah's first birthday party, and he had so much fun that he slept throughout the entire night last night (this hasn't been happening lately because of him teething), and he took 2 very long naps today.
Curtis and I are very thankful for all the lovely gifts that Noah received at his party yesterday. Noah has been playing with his toys that he received all day today! We were mostly thanful for all the family being able to make it to his party. We did miss Noah's great mamaw at the party, but she just had surgery last Tuesday so she had to stay home so she can heal and get better soon! We took video of him opening his presents and eating his cake so we can try to share the experience with her next time we go to visit:)
Here is a list of some of the things that Noah experienced for the "First" time during his birthday weekend.

1. Taking Steps on his own!!! He was walking for the first time at his party yesterday in the living room while playing with his cousins Saylor and Bella. He had a blast with the girls:)
2. Getting his First Haircut today on his 1st birthday. We are going to post a blog about this "First" tomorrow.
3. Noah sitting on a motorcycle. His Pop and Nana rode here from LaCenter, Ky on their new motorcycle! Of course we had to get a picture of Noah sitting on it:) I don't mind it now, but I hope he doesn't want to get on one of these when he is older! (pictures will be posted in tomorrow's blog)

We hope everyone enjoys the pics of Noah now that he is the big 1 year old!!! It just amazes me that one year ago today is when he was blessing our family by arriving early:) This year has been the best year of my life, and one that I will never forget as long as I live! I just wish that things would slow down just a little so I can enjoy them even more. I want as much time with my family as I can get. I just hope that Noah had a great 1st birthday because that is what today is all about:)

Happy Birthday baby boy, and always know that your mommy and daddy will always love you no matter what! We hope that you enjoyed your sesame street party yesterday, and just spending the day playing with all your new toys today.

Count Down To The Big Day!

Here at the Moss house we are on the count down to Noah's big day! In 4 days our sweet baby boy will be turning 1 year old, but we are having his party in 3 days. Noah is very excited and can't wait to see his family again. He's extra excited that his Nana and Pop are coming to visit him all the way from LaCenter, Ky!
Here are just a few pics of Noah trying to figure out how to use the remote to the television to hold everyone over until his big birthday party:) I will post lots of pictures of the celebration on Sunday, so "stay tuned."

My First Mother's Day!

First of all let me start off by wishing all the mom's out there a Happy Mother's Day!! Today was my first year of being able to celebrate this day, and I loved every minute of it:) It started off by me getting some gifts from sweet baby boy, and my lovely caring husband. They were very nice gifts and I will always cherish them because they were given to me with such love. Once all the excitement from the gifts was over, we loaded up the van and headed off to Church.

This Sunday was a very special Church service for us, because it was the day they had the "Baby Dedication Ceremony". Today marks the day that Noah Timothy Moss (along with some of his friends from our Sunday School Class) was dedicated to the Lord! This was one of the easiest decisions that Curtis and I have had to make for him since he was born. There was no hesitation about us doing this for Noah. As parents we are always wanting to do what is right for Noah. This is only the beginning of good things to come in Noah's life:)

The rest of the day was family time! We went to my mamaw's house for a Mother's Day dinner to celebrate the day. Everything was delicious, but the best part was spending time with my family. Noah had a great time and got lots of play time with everyone:)

I had a great First Mother's Day, and I can't wait for all the years to come! Just being with my baby boy all day has made it one of the most special days I could ever imagine. I hope everyone (even if your not a mom) has enjoyed this day!

Trip To The Doctor

What started out as me thinking it was just allergies changed overnight. Noah woke up this morning with a lot of green snot coming out of his extremely runny nose. My poor baby has been miserable all day, so I made him a Dr. Appointment this afternoon. I knew this had turned into some sort of infection, but I didn't know what type. I was hoping it wasn't another ear infection, and the good news is that it wasn't this time. Noah has allergies that turned into a sinus infection, and he is still teething. The Doctor has put him on an antibiotic to help clear up his infection, and to keep it from turning into an ear infection.
He was doing better this evening and was playing a little more than he was earlier in the day until after his bath. He was very sleepy and got a little fussy, because he was so stuffy. I gave him his medicine, cleaned out his nose, and he went right off to sleep. I pray that my sweetheart will get a good nights sleep because he needs it, but if he doesn't I will be right here for him:)
We can't wait until Curtis comes back home tomorrow! We pray that he has a safe flight home to us, because I know that will make Noah feel lots better knowing his daddy is HOME:)
**This picture is an old one, but I can't write a blog without posting a picture of our little cutie:)

Go Away Allergies!!

One of the things most people get to experience while living in our beautiful state, is allergies. My poor little sweetheart is one of those people. Every since it rained this weekend, Noah has been experiencing the runny nose and stuffiness. I know how he feels, because I have been dealing with all kinds of sinus pressure and headaches the last couple of days. I pray that all the allergies will go away for a while!

Even though Noah has been having a runny nose, just look at his adorable little smile through it all:) He was trying to grab the camera from me while I was taking the pictures. I hope everyone has a good Thursday!

Missing You!

I had to promise Noah that I would post a blog tonight for his daddy to read to get him to go to sleep:) He sure is missing his daddy and all the play time they usually get together before mommy gets home from work!
Here are some pictures that I took of Noah before bath time last night. He always loves to play for a little with just his diaper on:) Curtis, I hope you enjoy the pictures! We love and miss you!!!
