Caught in the act!

This is a picture of Noah trying to escape from the living room. We try to keep him away from the gate, but as you can see, he still manages to make his way over there very quickly sometimes! I (Jen) had turned my back for a second to pick something up this evening, and he was already over there before I could turn back around. I had to grab the camera to catch him in the act! He really likes to go over to the gate when Hannah is on the other side looking at him. He will giggle and bounce up and down with excitement at her:) He is probably excited for her that she was able to get on the other side.

An exciting moment that we would like to show with everyone is that Noah slept all throughout the night last night! We were worried about his sleep habits with the time change, but he has been adjusting very well. I put him down at 8:00 last night and he didn't wake up until Curtis woke him up to feed him this morning before getting him ready for daycare at 6:30:) Mommy and daddy love it when we have great nights like that one. We are hoping that since he is getting older now, that he will have more nights like that one to come in the future. Noah is a good sleeper, but he still wakes up once a night usually to take a bottle. I think once the spring gets here and the air isn't so dry that will change. We are just blessed that he sleeps in his own crib and does so well with it. We still hope we have another great night like last night:)

Cutie Crawler

This is our second attempt to upload Noah crawling. We know we told some of you it would be up, but the other file was too big. As you can see, at the end, Noah is starting to get into everything. Sorry for the abrupt ending, but we don't want Dr. Pepper and Noah to find each other yet!

Doctor and Shopping

I (Jen) got to start out my Saturday by calling the Doctor to try and get an appointment for Noah. Yesterday when he got home from daycare we noticed that the diaper rash he had started to develop on Wednesday was to the point that we needed the Doctor to look at it! Even though we had to sit at the Doctor's office for almost 2 hours, it was well worth it. We got a prescription for some cream to put on it that should have it healed in no time:) It was good that we got to see the Doctor because I had noticed Noah grabbing at his ears for the past couple of days, so I asked her to look at them while we were there. It turns out that Noah has some fluid on his ears, so she gave him an antibiotic for that also before it turns into an ear infection. She said that this may be caused from him teething or allergies. The weather doesn't agree with his allergies just like mommies and sometimes daddies! We also were told that we can stop giving him the breathing treatments throughout the day, because the RSV is completely gone now!! We still have to give him his nightly treatment for a while, but that is o.k with me as long as he continues to go back in the healthy direction.

After spending our morning at the Doctor, we then spent our afternoon shopping. Noah did so good the entire time we were shopping! He just sat in his stroller looking around at everything. He was so good that people were even coming up to me in the store and telling me that he was "being such a good baby". That is something that a mommy always loves to hear about her baby:) Noah has outgrown all his clothes, so we had to go buy him some new clothes. He is now wearing a size 12 month and I bought him some 18 months for over the summer. He is growing so fast! He now weighs 22 lbs. and 4 ounces. It seems like everyday that passes he grows a little more. He also gets a little more active everyday, so he keeps mommy and daddy very busy now:) As you can see in the picture above and to the left, he rolls, crawls, sits up, pulls up, and scoots all over the place now. Before we know it, he will be walking!!!

By the way... C-A-T-S/ CATS, CATS, CATS!!!! GO BIG BLUE:) We hope our Wildcats continue to play good for the rest of the SEC Tournament and in the NCAA Tournament. Noah is very excited that they are playing good right now:)

These are the days I'll always remember

Every day I wake up to experience something new with Noah, and I'm loving every minute of it (this is Jen writing)! I took this first picture last weekend while I had just got finished reading one of Noah's favorite books to him. He loves Elmo now, and he is always wanting me to read Elmo's "Clap Your Hands" book, or Elmo's "So Big" book to him. He is at the age that he is finally starting to sit and actually listen to me read the books to him, and that makes me so excited! Reading has been one of the things I have enjoyed doing with him since he was born. I look forward to many more years of reading to him, and I hope he continues to enjoy it as much as he does now.

This second picture was taken last night while we were playing after he ate dinner. He loves to get in his crib and move around (as you can tell)! He was giggling so hard while we were playing that he had tears fill up in his eyes:) When he giggles it is the cutest thing I've ever seen or heard!! When I put him down at night now that he moves around all the time, we never know what position he will be in when he wakes up in the morning. We have found him on his tummy (yes he rolls over and likes to sleep on his tummy now), sideways, on his side, and I've even found him with his head at the bottom of the crib and feet at the top! As long as he is comfortable and safe that is all that matters to me. I'm just thankful that he likes to sleep in his crib, and we hope he continues to like it as he grows older.

Last but not least.... this picture is priceless. I took this picture tonight while we were having play time up in his room while his daddy was at his bands Benefit Concert at school. I am so glad that I was able to catch his expression in this picture so I can show it to him one day when he is older. I was telling him "No" about going over towards his Winnie The Pooh humidifier. He stopped going towards it, but he looked over at it as if he was thinking "Should I go for it even though she's telling me no"? He was really thinking about it, but his eye caught site of one of his toys so he crawled away. We are trying to teach him the word "NO" now that he is crawling around. He is slowly starting to understand what it means, but we have a long way to go with him:) I just wish he wouldn't look up at me with those Big Blue eyes like "mommy, please let me do it". As cute as he is, I'm trying my hardest to keep saying no so that he is a well behaved little boy some day.

I hope that Noah will look back on this blog one day and realize how much fun we had together every night after I got home from work. I wish that I could spend the entire day with him, but since I can't I make the best of the time we do have together! I wake up every morning wondering what Noah will have in store for us, and that is the best feeling in the world:) I couldn't ask for a better life than I have with my baby boy, my loving husband, and my sweet dog! It is definitely not a perfect life, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The one thing I can promise you all is that the Moss home is definitely filled with lots and lots of love!

Happy Birthday Mamaw!

This is the picture Noah asked me to take of him today, so that he could wish his mamaw a Happy Birthday on the blog tonight. We hope that she had a very good day, because she deserved it! All Noah had to do was smile and giggle for her, and I think that made her day:) Noah loves his mamaw and couldn't wait to see her tonight to give her a big birthday hug!!
My mom (This is Jen by the way) is the best mom a girl could ever ask for! She hasn't been feeling well at all, but she still came out here to stay with me while Curtis is out of town for Army duty this week. It is a big help to me in the mornings when I'm trying to get Noah ready for daycare, and myself ready for work. It's hard to keep him still now that he can crawl:) I always enjoy spending time with my mom and I hope she knows that. I love you mom, and I hope you had a very happy birthday!
Update on Noah: Noah is doing a lot better! He is back to his old self, smiling, giggling and crawling all the time now! I love that he is back to his happy self, because that makes me a very happy mommy. I want to thank you all once again for all the prayers that he would get better. He is still getting his breathing treatments daily, but doesn't cough hardly at all now! He is very happy that he is back to daycare again with all his little friends. He has had a great week so far, but he is missing his daddy. We will be glad when Curtis is back home Sunday. We hope everyone has a good weekend.

Happy Belated Birthday Pop and Saylor!

We wanted to write this blog to say Happy belated birthday to Noah's Pop (Curtis' Dad) and Saylor (his cousin)!! We will be mailing off a card to Pop tomorrow, so be looking for it in the mail this week:) Today is Saylor's family birthday party, and we aren't able to go to it this year:( Noah is still not feeling well and we didn't want to get him out in the cold weather until he is better. We are hoping Saylor understands and knows that we wish we could be there. We are sending big birthday wishes to Pop in LaCenter, Ky and Saylor in Louisville, Ky!! We love you both and we hope you have a great year! This picture was taken of Noah a couple of weeks ago when he was feeling better.
Update on Noah: Our precious baby is finally starting to get on the road to recovery!! Last night we noticed that he started to play more and act a little more like Noah, which got us very happy. This morning he woke up acting like he is feeling even better today. Now please don't get me wrong... there is a long way to go before he is 100% again, but I'm just happy that we are going in the right direction now. We are keeping him inside a couple of more days to make sure he stays on the right track. I (Jen) took the picture of him sleeping in his crib about 10 minutes ago when I put him down for an afternoon nap. He has been playing a lot this morning, so I have a feeling this will be a long nap. We hope you all have a great week! Thank you all for the prayers, and we will continue to pray that our little cutie continues to get better.
