Goodbye Grandparents - Visit soon and OFTEN!!!

One of the greatest parts of the "Noah Experience" has been the help from the grandparents. Since Jennifer is an only child this is their first and only grandbaby. Jennifer's parents hail from Shively and can come out often... they were a HUGE help the first two weeks home. Curtis' parents came out the third week and Judy was a HUGE help. I guess that having been there, they know what needs to be done.

We are now appreciating the little things that were done like laundry magically being done before we need something and bottles being washed and ready.
We are now on our own without the full-time help and I must say it is bittersweet. Curtis sleeps through the night and gets up with Noah at the morning feed time. Jennifer stays up and sleeps when she can at night then is up around noon. This plan has been working great for us so far. With Curtis on summer break from teaching, and already having done his two weeks for the Army, everyone seems to be getting enough sleep. However, Curtis has an Army job coming up and will be gone during the workday. This will be a little difficult, we will see how sleeping when Noah sleeps works.

Now, here we are living our lives with the help fading away. It is a surreal reality as we are realizing this is OUR life now! Rather than a couple, we are a family. There is a struggle to attempt to understand why we are so blessed when others are so downtrodden. We have a wonderful house, great dog, a wondrous marriage, and the most beautiful blessing in Noah Timothy! What have we done to deserve such abundant blessings, or is it all in the glasses we see the world through? We are riding this and preparing for the storm that will inevitably come.
