Our weekend trip

This weekend we went to visit the Moss family in LaCenter, Ky. It was a short visit, but we were just happy to get the chance to see everyone! It took Noah a while to warm up to everyone, but once he got used to everyone, he had a blast:) He was able to play with his cousins Austin, Autumn, Layken and Clayton. He would swing with Autumn, throw golf balls with Austin, run around the house with Clayton, and run outside with Layken. Layken is his oldest cousin who is a Freshman in High School, and Noah would just sit and look at her with the biggest smile on his face. We love when we get to see her. She is very busy with Cheerleading so we don't get to see her as often as we used to. We wish her the best of luck with cheering!! We love everyone in the Moss family, and we had a great time visiting everyone!

Noah was just starting to get used to everyone when we had to leave. The good thing is that we will be back to visit for Thanksgiving, and Christmas this year. Last year we didn't go visit for Christmas because Noah was only 7 months and it was such a big ride. We are confident that Noah will be fine on the trips this year since he did so well this past weekend. I'm sure Noah can't wait to get lots of loving from his Nana and Pop again:)

We are very proud of Noah, because he was such a good boy the entire visit. He was also great on the ride there and home, which is 4 hours each way. He would sleep the first couple of hours and play the remaining two. He got a little fussy the last 30 minutes on the way home, but it wasn't anything a few snacks couldn't handle:) I hate that I don't have any pictures to share from our trip, but we forgot our camera at home. I promise to have pictures after Thanksgiving to share with everyone.

We hope everyone has a Blessed week!

15 Months!!

Noah turned 15 months on August 23rd, and sadly I haven't been able to post anything to celebrate this time! I wanted make a post to tell 15 things that Noah is doing at this time in his life, so that one day he can look back to see what life was like for him as a 15 month old little boy:) Hope you enjoy!!

1. Your favorite thing to do right now is flip on Daddy and climb on everything!

2. You love all kinds of Balls (golf balls, basketballs, bouncy balls, footballs, baseballs, etc.)

3. You can say mama, dada, ball, dog, uh-oh, mine, bye, hi, and of course.. Elmo.

4. You are starting to point to things and want us to tell you what they are (very exciting for mommy and daddy)

5. You love to pick on Hannah for some reason. We are very thankful she is such a sweet and understanding dog.

6. You give kisses by putting your face on ours:) You don't understand to kiss with your lips yet, but that is ok because mommy loves thinks it's adorable no matter how you give kisses!

7. You still take a morning and afternoon nap.

8. You usually take a cat nap on daddy's chest everyday after daycare until mommy gets home from work (very sweet).

9. You love to sleep in your crib at night, which is a Blessing! You just love sleeping period:) (you are definately mommy's little boy)

10. You love to listen to the C.D. "Jewel's Lulaby" while mommy rocks you to sleep at night.

11. You get very excited to brush your teeth every morning and night with your Cookie Monster toothbrush!

12. Your favorite fruits are Blueberries and Bananas.

13. You love Milk and are a pro with drinking it from your sippy cups. You don't even take a bottle at night anymore, so you are a 100% sippy cup drinker now:)

14. You have started feeding yourself with a spoon in the last week or so.

15. Last but not least, you love having playtime with both mommy and daddy after work everyday, and we love it too!!

**We couldn't ask for a better, or sweeter 15 month old! Mommy and daddy are very proud of you Noah, and we thank God for you everyday. Happy 15 months Tooter bug:)**

I have never disliked the color pink, until now!

Yep folks you guessed it.. My sweet little boy caught pink eye from another little boy at his daycare:( Look at this sweet face with puffy pink eyes just trying to enjoy his cereal yesterday morning. He looks like he got in a punching match with someone, but it's just the pink eye doing it's nasty thing! The Doctor gave him some drops that we have to put in his eyes twice a day for 5 days. Every mommy out there with a toddler knows that this isn't an easy task, but we get it done some how! We are having to wash our hands and everything he touches constantly since this is very contagious, and that is also why I've had to stay at home with Noah for the past couple of days. Today is the first full day he has been on these drops, so the Doctor said he can return back to daycare tomorrow:)

Today Noah's eyes look much better as you can see in this picture to the right. He slept all night last night and has been acting like he feels better today, so the drops must be making him feel a lot better, so that makes me and his daddy very happy. I love seeing him smile that beautiful smile for me:)

I know this is a short post, but little man is up right now and keeping me on my toes! I will post another blog in the next couple of days about him turning 15 months on Monday (I know that it's going to be almost a week late, but I'm trying the best I can at getting around to posting the blogs better). We hope everyone has a good Wednesday!!

We're Back!!

I would like to start out by saying a special apology to my brother in law, Chris Moss! I am so sorry to him and the entire Moss family for taking so long to post a blog. Chris left a message for me a month ago that I needed to post a new blog, and I'm just now getting around to posting one. I know this is the only way that the Moss family is able to see Noah, so I feel awful! I hope you all accept my apology, and enjoy the pics of our growing boy:) I promise I will try to be better at managing my time weekly, so that I can post more.

So much has happened since my last post, that I don't even know where to start! The month of August has been busy for us, but in a good way. Noah's Nana and Pop came to visit us at the beginning of the month, so that was a special time for us! We always love to see them, and Noah always gets a haircut while they are here, so that is a bonus:) As you can see by the picture to the left, Noah was his Pop's buddy whenever he would go outside. We love and miss you guys, and can't wait to see you again!

Noah has also been sick with Allergies during the big 100 degrees weather stretch that we had been experiencing:( I think that pretty much messed with everyone's allergies, but I still feel awful when it's my little tooter bug being miserable. He finally got rid of his runny nose and cough last weekend, so we are all happy again:)
Noah is starting to become more vocal everyday that passes. He is starting to say words like Uh Oh, Ball, and Dog. He also has his own language he has developed that Curtis and I are still trying to figure out. It's very cute!! One of his favorite places to play is in Hannah's dog cage for some reason. He walks in her cage all the time and wants to play in it, or he will go in it and just sit by Hannah:) He has so many toys, and he chooses to play in the dog's cage. He claps his hands all the time, and is beginning to want to help mommy clean the house. He helps mommy do the laundry by putting the clothes in the dryer and shutting the door for me, and he shuts the dishwasher door for me once I have it all loaded. I only hope he wants to help me this much when he gets older.
Noah is losing his baby look (as you can see in the pictures), and looking more like a toddler everyday. I have to admit that it's hard for me to accept because he is my only child. I have been trying to put together a photo album of his first year, and it's so crazy looking back at his baby pictures when he was first born. I stop and always thank God for Blessing me so much in my life when it comes to Noah and Curtis!

I think that I pretty much have everyone all caught up with Noah for now. He is doing great and keeps growing like crazy! He's still cutting teeth, but seems to be dealing with it like a true Little Champ! We hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Miserable and Missing You!

Even though we are miserable, our little boy was able to give me some cute little smiles for his daddy to see! If your all wondering why we are miserable here at the Moss house, it's because Curtis left again last Monday to go to Ft. Benning, GA for another 2 weeks. We are missing him like crazy! We always are miserable when he is gone because our family is incomplete for these 2 weeks. To top it all off, our air conditioner is out! Yep, folks you heard me right, our AIR IS OUT:( It's been out since last Wednesday so we have not been very happy to come home at nights because it's so uncomfortable. There is a crack in one of the parts on our outside unit that keeps causing it to freeze up and quit working. I've been turning it off during the day to try to get it run for us during the nights once it has thawed out. It usually quits working around 3 or 4:00 in the morning because it freezes back up, so the house never cools down to where it's comfortable.

In case your wondering if I have called anyone to come and look at it, the answer is yes. They came out last Wednesday and they told me they had to order the part that has the crack in it. I called again today and the part is on back order. I'm not very happy because it seems to me that they could have ordered the part from somewhere else when they found out it was on back order, but maybe I'm just over reacting because we are so hot here. I'm just very tired of having my 1 year old be miserable in his own home every night for a week now! I can't help but feel like a failure since I can't make my baby comfortable:( I am doing the best I can though, I promise.

With everything that has been going on I have been very down lately. I feel awful because I have been complaining to Curtis a lot lately. Curtis, I really do hope you know I'm sorry and no matter how miserable we are here, I shouldn't bother you with it knowing you are busy where your at. There are just some times in life that you feel like you need your best friend, and this week has been one of those times for me. If I could just have you here to tell me it's all going to be okay and give me a hug I think I would feel 10 times better. Instead I will just suck it up and continue to try and take care of things the best I can for our little boy:) I just want to make you proud and for you to be able to leave us knowing that I can take care of things for our family until you return. We still miss you A LOT and hope that this is the last time you have to leave us for a VERY LONG TIME:)

We hope you like the pictures! Noah wanted me to tell you (Curtis) that he misses you a lot, and he can't wait to play with you when you get home! I will try to be better about posting a blog for the rest of this week, so keep checking back in for some more pics. We send our love from Shelbyville, Ky. to Ft. Benning, GA tonight:)

Lots Of Catching Up To Do!

It has been a while since we last checked in, so I apologize to everyone out there. We have had a lot going on so I haven't had time to post a blog. I have a lot of things to catch everyone up on, so I better get started. First off I want to say that Noah and I are so happy that Curtis is home with us again:) His homecoming didn't happen the way I wanted it to, but I was still very excited to see him! I wanted Noah to be with me when I went to pick him up at the airport on Saturday afternoon, but he couldn't go because he had a rough night Friday night. I do wish I would've had the video camera when Noah woke up from his afternoon nap and saw his daddy for the first time in 2 weeks, because it was so adorable it brought a tear to my eyes! He just dove into Curtis' arms!

We had a fun packed weekend, but it was rough at times. When I said Noah had a rough night Friday night it's because he woke up running a temperature of 102.3! It scared me to death! I gave him some Walgreen's brand Motrin and it thankfully broke it within 30 minutes. He had started running a fever of 100 on Thursday night which started getting me concerned. Noah just didn't act himself and you could tell by looking at him that he didn't feel good. Friday I called and got him a Doctor Appointment to see what was going on with him. They ran blood work (it came back very good), and checked his ears (they looked great). Dr. Lyon's couldn't figure out what was going on, but she agreed with me that he didn't feel good because he cried the entire time during the visit and that's just not like Noah. She ended up telling me to just monitor him and that she thought it was some type of viral infection. She said she thought it could be Roseola so if he started breaking out in a rash not to get concerned.

Noah's fever broke Saturday and never came back! He still didn't act like he felt good, but he was starting to eat better and play more a little each day. Monday afternoon I noticed while I was changing his diaper that he had a rash all over his stomach, chest, and back. It turns out that the Doctor was right (she's great by the way!) and he did get Roseola! One of the symptoms of this viral infection is that they can run a very high fever for up to 3 days before they break out in the rash, and that's exactly what happened to Noah.

Noah is not contagious with this rash, so he has been going to daycare as normal. He was only contagious while he was running the fever which was Thursday and Friday. I'm glad to report that he is doing much better now! He still has a little of the rash, but it's almost completely gone:) He was more like our little Noah today, and wasn't irritable at all:) We are just thankful he is doing much better now. I hope you all understand now why I was a little too busy to post a blog.

Did I say we are very excited that Curtis is home? Welcome home baby!! We love you so much:) Just look at these pics from this evening in our back yard and you can tell Noah missed his daddy!

Counting Down!

Here at the Moss house, we are counting down the days until Curtis comes back home to us! 3 more days and we will be together once again for 1 week before he goes away for another 2 weeks. I get sad when I think about it, but at the same time I'm counting my blessings that he gets to come home and be with us for a week in between! Noah can't wait until his daddy is back home to play with him. Every night before I give Noah a bath we all go up in Noah's room and play blocks with him as a family when Curtis is home with us. It's one of my favorite times of the day because we are all doing something together and having fun! Noah absolutely loves destroying everything his daddy and I build for him:)

We would like to send a special thank you to Noah's Nana and Pop tonight. I received the package tonight that you sent to us, and it was very nice of you to think of us enough to send us gifts! Noah smiled when he saw his new outfit with the bicycle on it:) That is going to be the outfit he wears to go pick up his daddy at the airport on Saturday:) I also loved the card you sent us for our anniversary. Thank you so much!
