Happy Belated Birthday Pop and Saylor!

We wanted to write this blog to say Happy belated birthday to Noah's Pop (Curtis' Dad) and Saylor (his cousin)!! We will be mailing off a card to Pop tomorrow, so be looking for it in the mail this week:) Today is Saylor's family birthday party, and we aren't able to go to it this year:( Noah is still not feeling well and we didn't want to get him out in the cold weather until he is better. We are hoping Saylor understands and knows that we wish we could be there. We are sending big birthday wishes to Pop in LaCenter, Ky and Saylor in Louisville, Ky!! We love you both and we hope you have a great year! This picture was taken of Noah a couple of weeks ago when he was feeling better.
Update on Noah: Our precious baby is finally starting to get on the road to recovery!! Last night we noticed that he started to play more and act a little more like Noah, which got us very happy. This morning he woke up acting like he is feeling even better today. Now please don't get me wrong... there is a long way to go before he is 100% again, but I'm just happy that we are going in the right direction now. We are keeping him inside a couple of more days to make sure he stays on the right track. I (Jen) took the picture of him sleeping in his crib about 10 minutes ago when I put him down for an afternoon nap. He has been playing a lot this morning, so I have a feeling this will be a long nap. We hope you all have a great week! Thank you all for the prayers, and we will continue to pray that our little cutie continues to get better.

One of the rough days

Yesterday and today are supossed to be the two roughest days on my baby before he gets better. As you can tell by the picture, they have been! His little nose has been running so much that when he sees me coming towards him with the "nose sucker" as I call it, he starts fussing at me. He is still wheezing when he breathes, but it's not as loud as it was at the beginning of the week. The Doctor warned me that he would be worse on day 4 & 5 before he got better. I'm hoping that tomorrow he will wake up feeling better for a change. Looking at this picture while we were rocking this morning, makes my heart ache for him. I just wish with all my heart that I could take all of this sickness away from him!
I hate that he has been so sick lately, but I have loved being able to stay home with him. I feel like he is growing up so quickly and I don't want to miss out on anything. His lovely Mamaw and Nana have both offered to watch him for me, but this time I passed. I just feel like this has been a time where he wanted to be with his mommy since he has been so sick. Whenever I put him down to play, he has been crying until I pick him back up to hold him. This is how I can tell Noah doesn't feel good becuase he normally will sit in the floor to play and crawl for a while before getting fussy. There are just times when you need your mommy, and I feel like this week has been one of those times for Noah. Don't get me wrong...he loves his daddy time when he gets home from work. It's so cute to hear him say da da da da and ma ma ma ma all day long now:) He can also say bye bye now too!
I hope you all have a good weekend, and hopefully we will have a better weekend than our week has been. We will keep you all posted.

Still Smiling!

Even though my precious baby boy is sick, he still keeps a smile on his adorable little face:) We were playing in his room this morning after getting one of his breathing treatments when I took this picture. Dr. Lyons told us that he would get worse over the next couple of days before getting better, so I'm trying not to worry too much. The one good thing is that he isn't coughing as often today as he was yesterday. Hopefully he will be feeling much better soon!
I hope that when you all see this smiling little face, that your day gets better like mine always does:) Even when I'm having a bad day, Noah always makes it better. I better go now because I hear him waking up from his afternoon nap.

Noah's 9 Month Appointment

Today Noah turned 9 months:) I can't believe that he will be a year old in 3 months! As all the mommies out there know, at 9 months you go for a checkup to make sure your baby is developing on track and that all is well. Noah is all caught up on his shots, so he didn't have to get any today! Noah is now 21 lbs., 8 oz. and 28 1/2 "!! He is in the 60% on everything, so the Doctor is very pleased with him.

I was very glad that we had a Doctor appointment this morning, because I was going to have to make one if we hadn't. As many of you know, Noah had RSV a couple of weeks ago that had gotten a lot better last week. He was hardly coughing at all and was back at Daycare. Well... his cough started coming back over the weekend, and it just got worse everyday. When I got home from work (this is Jennifer by the way) yesterday, Noah was running a little bit of a fever and was coughing pretty badly. I gave him something for his fever and gave him a breathing treatment that helped his cough a little. I was very nervous about his appointment today and for good reason. The Doctor tested him for RSV, and he has it again! There is nothing worse than being a mommy and not being able to take an illness or pain away from your baby. This could mean that Noah may end up having asthma when he gets a little older. He is too young to be tested now, so we are just taking it one day at a time. I have to give him breathing treatments every 4 hours (even throughout the night), and 1 treatment a day that will have a medicine to help kids with asthma that the Doctor wants to try out on him. He has the beginning stages of RSV, so that Doctor said his cough will unfortunately get worse over the next couple of days. I am having to miss work again this week, because Noah can't return to Daycare until Monday. I will be giving him lots of breathing treatments and lots and lots of TLC!

One more update on Noah that is very exciting that we haven't blogged about yet because we have been so busy, is that he is now crawling! He crawled for the first time last Wednesday at daycare. I hated that we missed the first time he crawled, but I'll be ok. We will take a video of him soon so that his Nana and Pop can see him crawl:) We are now in the process of buying gates and baby proofing our house. It is amazing how fast he is, and it's only just begun. He is also pulling up on furniture now. He is growing up way too fast for mommy! We are sorry we haven't posted anything in a while, but we hope everyone understands. I'm going to go check on Noah since he is taking a nap right now. If you all could say a little prayer for Noah that he can finally get rid of this RSV and be healthy again, we would greatly appreciate it. Bye for now!

Recovery

After another full week of sickness, it seems we are ALL on the road to recovery.Noah was diagnosed with RVS and has been taking breathing treatments, but seems back to his old self. Mommy has been doing great with him all week (except Friday when he went back to Daycare) and weekend. Daddy had a short-lived stomach bug this weekend so little time around Noah. We are all hoping an praying for some normalcy next week and good health. May you experience the same!

Our apologies

We apologize for not keeping you, our legion of followers, updated. All three of us have had some sickness and our internet continues to spaz out. There is a problem somewhere ib the signal leaving the wireless router. When we plug dierctly into the router things are great. Noah is becoming more mobile now... not quite crawling yet. He gets up on all fours and will move backwards in doing so but hasn't got it all together to go forward. However, the time is coming and then we won't have a chance to get to the computer. He seems to be able to roll to wherever he wants to go... well actually he looks one way and rolls the other way! We are loving our time with him. Also, last weekend Curtis' parents came to town and they couldn;t believe how much Noah had changed since Thanksgiving. Having a child truly lets us know there is no slowing down time...
We are still loving Noah's first experience being a CATS fan, too bad about the Hilltoppers though! Imagine having never seen the CATS lose, I am sure it will happen sometime, but will it be this year?
