Noah's last haircut as a 1 year old

This cool little dude is who I got to spend my second Mother's Day with this year:) I still to this day find it hard to believe that God has Blessed me so very much in my life! I had a wonderful Mother' s Day and wouldn't have changed one single thing about it. It started with Curtis and Noah waking me up by bringing me their cards they got for me:) The rest of the day was full of going to Church to see all our friends, gifts and a visit to my mamaw. Family, Friends and lots of love made this a perfect Mother's Day for me! A special thank you to Curtis for helping make this day so special for me. I hope all the mom's out there had a very good Mother's Day. I also hope that all the women that are teachers, daycare workers, or any women that mentors children had a Happy Mother's Day also!

Yesterday Curtis took Noah to get his last haircut as a 1 year old. It was a bittersweet moment for me. I was happy that he got his haircut because it was getting pretty long on him (at least to me), but just thinking about that being his last haircut before he turns two made me have a sad mommy moment. It's so hard for me to believe that my baby will be turning two in less than two weeks! Why does time have to go by so quickly in life? I'm just trying to learn how to soak in every second I'm with my family.
Everyday when I get home from work, we eat dinner and then if it's nice outside, we all go out and play as a family. Last night was our last night with Curtis home with us until Friday night. Curtis left this morning to go to Virginia Beach on Army Duty. We will miss him greatly as always, but are very thankful that my mom is able to stay with me and Noah to help out and give us some company:) I am very thankful to have a Mom that is so loving and caring!! I hope that I can be that type of mom to Noah when he is older.

We always have fun as a family and we can't wait until Curtis gets back home with us Friday. We are also excited about Noah's Nana and Pop coming to visit us this weekend. We are very thankful they are going to make the long trip to come and spend time with us, and see their grandson (and of course their son too):) Noah is saying Pop all the time now, but we are still working on him saying Nana. He has said it once for me, but hasn't since then. I'm thinking that he is just waiting to see his Nana and say it to her!

Happy Derby Day!

We would like to wish everyone a Happy Derby Day:) We had a very relaxing day at home watching the Derby coverage on t.v. all day to see if we could catch a glimpse of Curtis playing in the Fort Knox Army Band. We did get to see him once, so we were very excited about that! We hope everyone else enjoyed their Derby Day.


We also want to say hi to my niece (in my heart she is anyway), Jordan Patricia Flood:) She is my cousin Bobby Jr. and his wife Jenni's baby. She is adorable!! Today she turned 6 months old! It seems just like yesterday that Bobby was calling me telling me that Jenni had her. We can't wait until the day comes that we can finally meet her in person. I have attached some pictures of her that you can't help but smile at when you see how cute she it:) Noah likes looking at her pictures and saying "Baby". The Flood family lives in California so they are many miles away from us, but still very close to us in our hearts. We love them and miss them a lot.

Crazy About Trains!

One thing that Curtis and I can always depend on Noah wanting us to do daily, is show him the trains that pass by. We live right next to a set of train tracks, so whenever Noah hears a train whistle, he gets very excited and wants daddy and mommy to walk him over to our deck door to watch the train go by. He loves it when we make it in time to see the Engines go by:) You would think we would get tired of taking him to the door every time a train goes by (trust me.. there are a lot of trains that pass by each day), but we don't! If you could see how excited he gets, then you wouldn't ever get tired of doing it either:)

In the first couple of pictures I have posted, Noah was play vacuuming. Yes, that is our real vacuum cleaner. He is pretending to use it since it wasn't plugged in. We have learned that he is a very strong little boy to be able to push our vacuum cleaner thru the house. When mommy or daddy have to vacuum, Noah always wants to do some of it on his own! Let's just say that mommy hopes when he gets older that he still gets this excited to vacuum:)

The last 3 pictures above are of Noah when he heard the train whistle blowing, and he wanted daddy to take him to see the train:) See what I mean about that excited beautiful little smile on his face? Now could you resist that sweet boy? As you can tell by these pictures, he loves trains! His favorite train is the cartoon "Thomas the Tank Engine", but he also loves real trains!! We can't wait to take Noah to the "Day Out With Thomas" on June 5th:) The only other thing that I can think of that Noah loves to play with more than trains, is his Daddy! The older Noah gets, the more he becomes daddy's little buddy:) I love seeing them two playing together or just watching the trains go by! I am such a lucky woman to have these two great boys in my life:) God has truly Blessed me, and I thank him for that everyday:)

I'm going to close this post by asking everyone not to get angry or frustrated whenever you get stopped at a train track anymore. If you start to get angry, just stop and think of all the children that are asking their parents to take them to the door or window to look at the train:) It will make you smile and warm your heart. Once you do that, the train won't seem so long or bad! I hope everyone has a great Derby weekend!!

Our Loving Family

Today was a day full of hard work, patience, sun burns, family, and the most important thing of all, LOVE. My family always goes above and beyond for us, and we greatly appreciate it!! I was so deeply touched today that my Uncle Mark, and my cousins Matt and Robbie drove all the way out the Shelbyville to help Curtis put up the new swingset that Noah got as an early birthday present from both sets of his Grandparents (his mamaw, papaw, Nana & Pop)! It took up their entire Saturday, but they all were so sweet about it and didn't complain once. I always thank God for my family, but I will send an extra thank you to him tonight! My family has shown me the true meaning of Love and putting someone else before themself. I know that all of them could've been doing something else on a Saturday that would've been a lot more fun & relaxing. Instead they chose to help do something for my son!! That is so amazing to me that it just makes me so happy!! I will never be able to say thank you enough for them doing this for Noah, but I hope that they know we greatly appreciate their generosity:) We love you all!!

After 8 hours of hard work on putting together the swingset, they had the finished product. Let me just say, it was well worth the wait. All the guys did an awesome job!! We had one very Happy little boy getting to swing and slide:) He still has a while before he will learn to climb up the rock wall, but he'll eventually get it. He has already shown us that he is going to be an outside kid, but now we're never going to get him to want to come inside in the evenings or on the weekends! I love it, because I want him to enjoy being outside and active. The swingset looks great and we can't wait until Noah's Nana and Pop come here to visit us so they can see it in person. Not only did the guys come out here to visit us, but we also got to see my Aunt Linda, Aunt Pam, my cousin Jenny (Matt's wife) and my soon to be cousin Mallori (Robbie's fiance). They helped me entertain Noah while the men were hard at work. Although I must say that Noah was a busy little bee too. He got his play tool set that they brought for him today and he worked on fixing our gate for daddy while they worked on the swingset as you can see in one of the pictures.

It was a nice visit of just hanging out and having a good time. It was nice spending time with everyone:) I also want to send a special thank you to Robbie and Mallori for Noah's birthday present they gave him today since they won't be able to make it to his birthday party this year. We will miss them greatly, but we were so glad to spend time with them today! Noah loves the gift you got him, and he played with it all night after we made him come inside. They also made him these delicious cookie monster cupcakes that were adorable:) Once again.... Love is the only word I can thank of! Thank you so very much for thinking of my son that way. It means the world to me and Curtis:)

I hope everyone was as Blessed today as my family was. Noah is too young to understand what happened today, but I took lots of pictures so I can show him when he gets older how loved he is. Easter 2011

We hope that everyone had a very Happy Easter this year!! We had a good one, but we missed Curtis being home with us very badly. He was away on Army Duty this year, so it wasn't the same for us this year missing a very important part of our family, but we did the best we could while he was gone. It's just not the same looking at the picture of me and Noah getting ready to leave for Church, because Curtis wasn't in it with us, but we pray that he will be home next year on Easter day with us:)

This year was a big year for Noah, because he was in his first performance at Church! His Sunday School class got to sing (or just shake their shakers that they made for the ones who can't talk yet, like Noah) to a couple of songs at the end of Church Service at Christ Community Church in Shelbyville!! They all did great and looked adorable during their performance:)It's always the best feeling when you see children praising our Lord!





We also went to my Aunt Linda and Uncle Mark's house this year for our Family Easter celebration:) We had a great time, and Noah had a blast like usual going over to their house. My Uncle Mark has an outdoor train track set up in his back yard that is awesome, and of course Noah loves that! To top it all off... he has a Thomas the Tank Engine train that he runs on his track, so Noah loves seeing that:) He was able to see the Thomas Train for a little bit in between Rain showers. Noah also experienced his first family Easter egg hunt this year! It was a bitter sweet moment, because it was exciting being his first one, but sad because his two cousins Saylor and Bella weren't able to be there to hunt the eggs with him this year. Bella was sick so they weren't able to come over, but I hope they know they were all greatly missed. We look forward to having them back with us for our family egg hunt next year:) We had to hold the egg hunt inside this year since it was raining, but Noah still had a blast! He kept calling them "balls" instead of eggs, but that made it even more adorable to me:) A big thank you to my cousin Robbie for helping Noah during the egg hunt:)

I would also like to say thank you to my Aunt Barbara, Uncle Kenny, cousin Amanda and her husband Jason for the Easter gifts they got Noah! That was very sweet of you all to think of him during this time, and we are greatly appreciative of the thought. We also had a great time at our Aunt Linda's house dying the Easter eggs for the egg hunt on Saturday:) It makes me feel so Blessed to have family like I do! I love you all:)

Now for an update on the Moss family... As some of you may know, we have all been sick since Monday. I didn't go into work on Monday because I didn't feel well at all, and then I got a call from Noah's daycare telling me he was throwing up. I went and picked him up, and he was sick to his stomach all day, so it was not pretty here:( I didn't get to go to the Doctor as planned, because as all mommies know, the kiddos always come first:) Curtis came home Monday evening and he went straight to the Dr. becuase he wasn't feeling well either. It turns out he had strep throat! Noah and I both went to the Doctor yesterday. Noah has had the stomach virus, and strep throat also:( He is finally on the road to recovery now, which I'm very relieved about. As a mommy, you never want to see your little one sick like that at all. I have a bad case of sinusitis causing my neck to hurt really bad ( I thought it was a bad stiff neck, but that wasn't the case), bronchitis, and the beginning of strep throat. Needless to say, we are all on anitbiotics here. Have you ever heard the saying, "When it Rains It Pours"?, well that is true for us right now in more than 1 way! Noah will be able to return to daycare tomorrow, and I'm going to attempt to go back to work as well. We hope this is our last round of sicknesses in our household for a while!

We hope everyone is surviving all this rain and the storms! Hopefully they will be coming to an end soon. Here are a few pictures as I put this blog to an end of Christmas with the Moss family! I know they are very old, but we want the Moss family to know we love you all and miss you all very much.

We're Back!!

I know that it's been over 5 months since we were on here, and I sincerely apologize to everyone! The only excuse I have is that we were using all our time to focus on our fun filled toddler who wants all of our attention 24/7:)

We are back now and better than ever! The Moss family is doing great and fully re-charged. Curtis and I re-devoted our life to Jesus Christ by getting re-baptized a couple of weeks ago to become members of our wonderful New Church (Christ Community Church of Shelbyville)! This was just what we needed, and we are very Blessed to have all the friends we do that helped support us in our decision at Church! A very big thank you goes out to the Webb Family at CCC for helping us decide what the next step in our faith was:) God Bless them!!

Now on to what everyone really cares about... Noah Timothy Moss!! He is now 22 month and will be turning 23 months on April 23rd. Can you believe my little baby is going to be 2 years old in May? I know we can't! Here are some things below that have changed with Noah since the last blog we posted. Hope you enjoy:)

1. Noah went completely off his pacifier the weekend after Christmas (19 months old)! He was a true trooper that Mommy and Daddy were very proud of:)

2. He now walks up steps instead of crawing up them and doesn't want anyones help in the process. (Don't worry we walk right behind him in case he falls)

3. He weighed 32 lbs. at his last Doctor's visit and he measures 2' 10".

4. He cries every Doctor visit because of all the shots he has had over the year:(

5. He gets a "Little boy" hair cut now and not a "baby cut"! 6. Usually only takes 1 nap a day now instead of 2. Mommy misses the 2 naps!

7. He still loves his vegetables and eats very good. He also loves Fruit now:) He's not a big meat eater, but we are just happy he likes his fruit and vegetables!!

8. He loves to color

9. His favorite cartoon is "Thomas the Tank Engine"

10. His room has gone from a nursery with the Baby Animals theme to a Big Boy Room with Thomas The Tank Engine!

11. He wears a 2T and 3T in clothes.

12. He has gone up to a size 5 in diapers. I think we are going to try and tackle the whole Potty Training thing this summer some time!! I pray it goes good:)

13. He can say Car, Bye, Daddy, Mommy, Mamaw, Papaw, Pop, Ball, Choo Choo, etc... He still isn't talking, but he says more and more words every week.

14. He can kiss on the lips now instead of leaning in with his forehead like he used to. (it's so cute)

15. He will blow kisses

16. He sleeps all night with no problem in his own bed:)

17. Mommy still rocks him everynight to sleep.

18. He now attends his first Sunday School class!!

19. He loves to play outside

20. He still enjoys bath time:)

Thanksgiving 2010

We hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving this year, because the Moss family sure did! It is our family tradition to go spend Thanksgiving with Curtis' side of the family every year, so like always, we headed to LaCenter, Ky on Thursday morning. After 4 hours on the road, we were very happy to arrive at our destination:) When we arrived we were able to spend some time with Noah's Nana and Pop before the rest of the family arrived. This picture was taken when Noah's Nana was opening her gift from us of a Turkey Platter that says "Nana's Lil' Gobblers" and lists out all her grandkids names on the wings. This was just a little way to let her know that we are always thinking of her!

We had a very good visit with the Moss family, and we always love getting to see everyone. I still didn't get to take as many pictures as I would've liked to, but here are some that I took of our visit. I am very thankful to have joined such a loving family. The one person that we missed a lot this Holiday weekend was our Niece (Noah's cousin), Layken. We normally get to visit with her the Friday after Thanksgiving, but it didn't work out this year. Layken, if you read this blog please know that you were greatly missed and we love you!

Noah got to receive his Christmas gift from his Nana and Pop early this year since we won't be going back to celebrate Christmas with them until the first of January. They got him a Thomas the Train Power Wheels, and he loves it! He loves Thomas and it's the only cartoon he will sit down and watch all the way through every time! It took him a while to get used to riding it, but he loves it now:) His Nana and Pop sure do know how to make him smile!

I would like to say a big thank you to the Moss family for another year of good food and fun family times! We can't wait to see ya'll again in January. Until then we love you and hope you enjoy the pictures.
